Proof load: 150% proof load applied to pressure bar after
machining and prior to nondestructive testing.
Nondestructive examinations: Magnetic particle inspection
per ASTM E1444 conducted on:
-every pressure bar in all capacities
-every low capacity shackle and pin
Corrosion protection: Electroless nickel plating from
0.0002 to 0.0005 inch offers excellent corrosion
resistance, typically permits future inspections and
eliminates hydrogen embrittlement concerns. Applied to
pressure bar, shackles and pins.
Zero control: Zero up to 20% of capacity. Zeroed load
must be considered as part of ultimate load.
Calibration: Traceable to NIST with three confirmation
runs.
Documentation: Includes User’s Guide, certificate of
conformance and signed calibration certificate.
